2020 was a challenging year due to Covid-19 and the restrictions it caused. We had to find new and inventive ways to raise funds in order to support local projects and our charity partners. The first of these was our Virtual Fun-Raiser Sponsored Walk between 3rd and 6th of December.
Due to the generosity of the participants on our Virtual walk we managed to raise €4000. €3000 went to St Francis Hospice in Raheny, €500 to Don Bosco Care and €500 to Aoibhneas.
Again due to Covid-19 restrictions we had to change the way we ran our appeal. Instead of collecting food items, preparing hampers and distributing them through St Vincent de Paul we decided to run cash appeals at Nolans of Clontarf and Supervalu Sutton. We would like to thank both of these stores and their customers for enabling us to present a cheque for €7,500 to the local conferences of St. Vincent de Paul for distribution to people in need of assistance.
